Giving birth + delivering the placenta

This short video will take you on a journey of what to expect once you are fully dilated at 10cm and your baby starts to make its journey through the birth canal, the feelings, and sensations you may experience through the contractions and giving birth, delivering the placenta and the post birth examination of your perineum.

Benefits of the golden hour

The first hour after your baby is born is called the Golden Hour, in this video you will learn more about what you can do in that first hour and the benefits that come with skin-to-skin contact including keeping your newborn warm, bonding, increasing your oxytocin levels to support milk production and help contract the uterus, making that first experience of breastfeeding more relaxed for both you and baby.   Remember to include this in your birth plan to share with your labour team whether you are having a vaginal or caesarean birth.
