Our breastfeeding supplementary class will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of the process of breast feeding and how to be responsive to your baby’s feeding needs, whilst learning about the journey of your milk and how it changes to adapt to your baby’s particular and ever adjusting day to day requirements.
No. Whilst our foundation classes will have explored breastfeeding, this supplementary class will allow you to gain a greater depth of knowledge.
This class will prepare you to feed your baby and increase your knowledge and understanding of your breasts, the journey of your baby’s milk and how to be responsive to your baby’s needs as well as learning about latch and position holds for your baby when feeding.

Every mother and baby are unique and there can be initial complications with latch, position and attachment especially. All potential problems and top tips for overcoming any difficulties taught and discussed!
Yes! Our breastfeeding classes are small in size so that you can be involved in the class. You will be able to ask your midwife any questions that you have.
We suggest that this class should ideally be completed by 36 weeks of pregnancy.
