Once you have read the how to conceive guide and stopped using contraception, use your first menstrual cycle to track your basal body temperature and discharge on the ovulation chart - this will help you to use the ovulation testing strips more accurately.

your kit includes:

midwife written comprehensive guide

12 x ovulation test strips

3 x pregnancy test strips

1 x digital thermometer

1 x ovulation chart

This specially curated testing kit and ovulation chart will help you on your trying to conceive journey.

To help you maximise your chances of becoming pregnant, the handy how to conceive guide in this midwife curated, not-for-profit fertility kit has been specifically designed to help you understand how you and your partner’s bodies and reproductive cycles work together. It describes how to prepare your bodies to improve your chances of conceiving, explains how to recognise the different stages in the menstrual cycle to understand when you are most fertile, and explores the psychological impact that trying to conceive may have on you as individuals and as a couple, and how you can offset this.

Our aim is to make the process of trying to conceive less complicated and easier to understand, to provide you with a one-stop hub of evidence-based education, and to support and provide you with the necessary information should your fertility need further assessment.

How can I

use it

  • This fertility kit will meet all your needs in one place by providing you with a comprehensive guide to getting pregnant, a thermometer, an ovulation chart, ovulation testing strips and pregnancy test strips.
  • Step 1 - Read the how to conceive guide fully before you start using the fertility kit.
  • Step 2 - Start to make any adjustments to your lifestyle that you and your partner think would be beneficial to helping you when trying to conceive.
  • Step 3 - Begin tracking your basal body temperature (BBT) and vaginal discharge on your testing chart. This will help you understand when you are most likely to be ovulating.
  • Step 4 - Note your observations and checks on your menstrual cycle using the chart provided and build doing so into your daily routine.
  • Step 5 - Use the other observations on your chart for guidance before you start using the ovulation testing strips. We suggest you track one menstrual cycle first, so you have a better idea of when you may be ovulating from monitoring your BBT and discharge.
  • Step 6 - Start using the ovulation testing strips in your cycle on the days before you think ovulation is most likely to occur. There is a surge of the luteinising hormone (LH) around 24-36 hours before ovulation. (You will need a small pot to wee into which isn't too deep).
  • Step 7 - Have regular sex around the time you suspect ovulation is occurring.
  • Step 8 - The pregnancy test strips will accurately indicate whether you are pregnant. For optimum accuracy, wait until the first day after your period was due before use. (You will need a small pot to wee into which isn't too deep).
