There are no added perfumes. Instead, there’s a subtle fragrance from the ingredients, including grapefruit, lavender, calendula and geranium essential oils.
Yes, it's great for any surgical scar. After birth, our serum will continue to soothe and hydrate your skin and, once the wound is healed, it is perfect to massage your C-section scar with, helping to improve the appearance and condition of scar tissue.
It will depend how often and how much you use. As a guide, one pump should be enough to cover your bump.
Yes you can. Food supplements should not be used as a replacement for a varied diet, but they are a great way of ensuring you get the vitamins you need.
Yes, they are safe to use from the very start of your pregnancy and even after the birth.
Unfortunately, there is no quick cure for sickness and nausea in pregnancy but you can do things do help reduce those feelings. Ease The Quease contains ginger extract which is known to help relieve nausea and vitamins B6, B12 and C, and can be used as part of a ‘toolkit’ of things to help you manage those feelings, alongside what and when you eat.
Yes, you are advised to avoid Vitamin A in pregnancy (found in liver and liver products such as pate and fish oils). You should also only take the Recommended Daily Advised (RDA) of your supplements which is why we have made it easy for you by putting everything you need and nothing you don’t in our All-In-One one-a-day supplement capsule.
Our Midwives recommend taking one capsule of our All-In-One Pregnancy Supplements from the moment you decide to try to become pregnant because we know that your fertility can be boosted with a our carefully selected evidence-based essential minerals and vitamins. Preparing for pregnancy is important for both you and your partner to optimise the chance of a successful conception and pregnancy and a healthy baby.
As Midwives we understand that taking a dietary supplement may not be easy, but our recommendation would be to take the easy-to-swallow, tasteless capsule with a glass of cold water once you have managed to have something to eat, or about 30-60 minutes after taking any anti-sickness medication you might have been prescribed. You may be able to identify a time of day when your nausea or sickness is less so this would be a good time to take it. If you miss a day or two try not to worry and take it when you are next able to.
The UK Department of Health recommend supplementing folic acid to reduce risks of problems in the baby’s development in the early weeks of pregnancy. Folic acid can prevent birth defects known as neural tube defects including spina bifida.
Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, which are needed to keep bones, teeth, and muscles healthy. The Department of Health recommend that all people consider taking 10 micrograms of Vitamin D between September and March when we are not exposed to summer sunlight which makes vitamin D. Vitamin D is only found in a small number of foods, so it is difficult to get enough from your diet.
We recommend a regular, daily intake but if you have missed a day or two this won’t do any harm. Just take it again when you remember and as directed. You should not take more than the recommended amount to make up for any days you have missed.
Yes, it is safe and advisable to take a folate - or folic acid (its synthetic form) - supplement from when you decide to conceive and to continue throughout your pregnancy. Our supplements contain folate in the form of L-Methylfolate, which is the purest and most active form of folate, making it immediately absorbable by the body. Folic acid is the synthetic (man-made), inactive form of folate and many people struggle or are unable to metabolise it. Folate is vital during the early period of pregnancy for the normal healthy development of your baby’s neural tube, but it also contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, normal blood formation, the normal function of the immune system, reducing tiredness and fatigue, and has a role in the process of cell division
