As a baby’s skin is prone to losing moisture more easily, we recommend using gentle products without fragrance to help keep their skin healthy and hydrated. If your baby has areas of skin which are drier, you can target these with Super Charged Skin Salve. You can support your baby’s skin by having plenty of skin-to-skin contact to populate your baby’s skin flora and help develop their microbiome, which in turn helps them to develop a more robust immune system.

The super charged skin salve targets and soothes dry, sore and inflamed skin and forms a protective barrier to prevent irritants coming into contact with the skin.

Baby’s skin is delicate when newborn and in the first few months, their own microbiome supports natural skin development and therefore unless your baby has generally dry skin, problem areas should be targeted rather than a blanket approach of moisturising where it is not needed. By targeting specific areas of skin which need support and extra moisture, it leaves the areas which are ok to develop naturally, supporting baby’s microbiome.
