It’s important that we avoid using perfumed products on baby’s skin for at least the first 3 months. Synthetic perfumes can be skin irritants and can impact a baby’s delicate skin, playing havoc with the developing skin biome and skin barrier.

Once they are 3 months old you can introduce essential oils. Our Super Settle Cleansing Wash is mildly fragranced with essential oils known to alleviate bloating, digestive discomfort, colic and reflux. Our blend combines the powers of relaxing mandarin, anti-inflammatory chamomile, digestive easing dill along with soothing frankincense.

This ticks all the boxes for a calming bath time routine for both you and your baby.

FAQs
Is this suitable for my newborn baby?
Baby’s skin is much more delicate and sensitive than an adult so it is not recommended that you use products containing essential oils or any fragrance until they are 3 months old.
Is this suitable for eczema prone skin?
Yes, not only is it dermatologically tested and paediatrician approved it is also suitable for sensitive and eczema prone skin
What is skin-to-skin?
Skin-to-skin contact is when your skin and your baby’s skin are in direct contact. Skin-to-skin contact benefits both you and your baby, not just following the birth, but for weeks and months afterwards by: • Promoting bonding and communication between you and your baby • Regulating your baby’s temperature. Think of it like a thermostat – neither too hot nor too cold. • Baby picks up your healthy skin flora to populate their own skin with good bacteria, which then helps to develop their gut microbiome • Helps to calm and settle baby
Why is the cleansing wash 97.6% natural and not 100% natural?
Any product which contains water must contain ingredients which make them safe and stable over time and in different temperature and light conditions. If these aren’t included bacteria could form. These are called preservatives. Only preservatives that undergo rigours testing are considered safe for use in cosmetic products and currently none of these are natural. We have used the gentlest preservatives which are Ecocert approved.
