Welcome to the www.myexpertmidwife.com website (the "Website") terms and conditions. My Expert Midwife Limited. ("My Expert Midwife", "we", "us" or "our") provides the services available on the website. Your use of this website is governed by these terms and conditions set out below. By using any part of this website, completing your customer registration with us and/or placing an order on the website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions are applicable to the supply of products made by the Seller, hereafter referred as to "My Expert Midwife", to the buyer hereafter referred to as the "Customer."
These terms and conditions and your use of the website are governed by English Law and you agree to submit the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Court. This does not affect your statutory rights.
1.1. All prices are quoted in £sterling and are inclusive of VAT (as may be prescribed by law from time to time), unless otherwise specified.
1.2. Postage and packing prices may be charged in addition to the price of any goods, and are stated individually on the website.
2.1. Online payment will be provided in a secure environment. Payments must be made in £sterling and by one of the following credit card payment methods - Visa, MasterCard, and American Express debit and credit cards
3. Passing of property
My Expert Midwife Limited will retain ownership of the goods until full payment has been received and all funds have cleared.
4. Passing of risk
The risk in the goods will pass to the Customer on delivery.
5. UK Delivery
5.1. All orders will be dispatched 1st Class with free postage and packing, unless an alternative option is selected at checkout.
5.2. Free 1st class delivery is available if ordered before 12pm.
5.3. Next day UK delivery is available if ordered by 1pm.
5.3. Overseas and non-mainland UK delivery: Postage is charged at cost. Delivery times may vary. Please allow 7-14 days.
5.4. Any products not available at the time of your order will be sent to you, as soon as possible, when received from the manufacturer. My Expert Midwife cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery caused by the manufacturer, or any other third party.
6. Cancellations & Returns
6.1. The Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods unless they notify My Expert Midwife within 7 days of receipt. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights. If no such action has been taken, My Expert Midwife shall consider the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose and may not accept any reject at a later date.
6.2. Items can only be returned for a refund if they are unopened, unused and in a re-saleable condition.
6.3. Unless the goods are faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the cost of returning them to us. Please ensure you obtain a proof of postage when you do so.
6.4. If you require a refund we will refund the price paid by you for the goods, but not the additional cost of any premium delivery option that was chosen within fourteen (14) days of receiving your returned goods, provided that you have returned the goods to us within 7 working days of delivery to you or your notifying us of cancellation.
6.5. In cases where the return of the goods is due to a defect or discrepancy in the order, the Customer is entitled to a full refund or replacement. We will also refund the delivery charge for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you for returning the item. The faulty or damaged product must be returned to My Expert Midwife as soon as possible. Please ensure you obtain a proof of postage.
6.6. Cancellations and returns can be arranged with the My Expert Midwife team on 0800 0300 6629 between 9.30 an 5.00pm Monday - Friday or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
What do we do with your information?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Our store is hosted on Shopify. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

8. International Customers
Customers from outside the UK can only pay by credit card or bank transfer and must pay in £sterling unless otherwise specified. If you are experiencing difficulty please contact email@example.com . All other terms and conditions apply.
These terms and conditions are governed and shall be interpreted in accordance with English Law. Any person attempting to make fraudulent credit card transactions will be prosecuted with no exception.
