If you have questions about one of our products you’ll find those answers on the specific page.
Trying to Conceive
Both yourself and male partner will benefit from taking a pregnancy specific dietary supplement. Women are advised as a minimum to take Folic Acid and Vitamin D but will also benefit from B Vits, Vit C, Iron and Zinc which can all be found in our ALL IN ONE. Men benefit from Zinc, Selenium and Ginseng which can be found in MEN'S SUPPS. Read our blog here.
Pregnancy
Approximately 80% of women will experience nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, especially during the first trimester, however for some it lasts their whole pregnancy. The good news is that for most it finishes around 12-14 weeks! Our blog Nausea and Morning Sickness: How to relieve the heave has some useful tips to help you relieve the symptoms.
Birth Preparation
The Midwives at My Expert Midwife have written a useful Bag Packing Guide which you can read and which has a link to a downloadable packing list which has everything you will need without taking the kitchen sink with you. Our Midwives suggest having your bags packed by 37 weeks and leaving them by your front door so they can be grabbed as you need them. Think about three separate bags - one for you, one for baby, and one for your partner. A small suitcase with baby's bag inside for you and them, and a backpack for your birth partner will be ideal as space is at a premium in hospital rooms. Leave your car seat in the car until it is time to be discharged home. Top Tip: Pack your bags with the things you will need first on top and your postnatal bits on the bottom. Use clear bags labelled so your partner can find what is needed easily, for example Baby's First Outfit.
Recovery
Yes you absolutely can, our multi-award winning Midwife-developed Spritz For Bits contains Witch hazel, Tea Tree and Lavender to soothe any skin trauma post-birth including a perineum (whether you have needed stitches or not), or a c-section wound once the dressing has been removed. It can also be used to soothe discomfort fromUrine Infections, Vaginal Thrush, and Haemmorhoids, however as this is not a medicinal product you should still seek medical advice.
Baby
Our Bum Balm has been dermatologically tested and paediatrician approved for use from birth to protect your baby's bottom against nappy rash, but it can also be used to provide effective relief and promote healing if your baby has already been affected. Containing Lanolin, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil and Calendula to soothe and nourish their vulnerable skin. Apply it as often and remember that babies benefit from plenty of nappy-free time so that the air can circulate around their skin - just have plenty of absorbent towels around them to catch any wees or poos.
