250mlBathing can dehydrate the skin, so use a gentle and natural moisturiser like our Mega Mild Moisture Milk after every bath, shower or swim session and moisturise any particularly dry areas at least once a day.
As a baby’s skin is prone to losing moisture more easily, we recommend using gentle products without fragrance to help keep their skin healthy and hydrated. After bathing and moisturising with Mega Mild Cleansing Wash and Mega Mild Moisture Milk you can support your baby’s skin by having plenty of skin-to-skin contact to populate your baby’s skin flora and help develop their microbiome, which in turn helps them to develop a more robust immune system.

Skin-to-skin contact is when your skin and your baby’s skin are in direct contact. Skin-to-skin contact benefits both you and your baby, not just following the birth, but for weeks and months afterwards by:
• Promoting bonding and communication between you and your baby
• Regulating your baby’s temperature. Think of it like a thermostat – neither too hot nor too cold.
• Baby picks up your healthy skin flora to populate their own skin with good bacteria, which then helps to develop their gut microbiome
• Helps to calm and settle baby
Any product which contains water must contain ingredients which make them safe and stable over time and in different temperature and light conditions. If these aren’t included bacteria could form. These ingredients are called preservatives. Only preservatives that undergo rigorous testing are considered safe for use in cosmetic products and currently none of these are natural. We have used the gentlest preservatives which are Ecocert approved.
