This can be used from 3 months plus and has been developed to be gentle for your baby’s skin.
Try a bath with Super Settle Cleansing Wash if your baby needs help easing wind or has digestive problems.
As midwives we recommend bathing newborns infrequently to help protect their skin flora and microbiome (which help their skin and bodies develop resistance when transitioning from growing inside the womb to living in the outside world) especially with heavily fragranced products.
Once a baby reaches 3 months of age their skin is more resistant and can tolerate essential oils specifically used to target and ease baby skincare problems and ailments. Our Super Settle Cleansing Wash has added dill to aid digestion to help combat colic and reflux and mandarin, frankincense and chamomile to calm soothe and settle.

Many synthetic perfumes can be skin irritants and can also harm a baby’s delicate skin barrier, so it’s important that we avoid using perfumed products on baby’s skin for at least the first 3 months.
Once they are 3 months you can introduce aromatherapy essential oil blends to benefit from their active ingredients and aroma. Most products aimed at babies don’t use purposeful essential oils and the fragrance is present for no other reason than providing a pleasant aroma.
Our Super Settle Cleansing Wash is mildly fragranced with gentle and purposeful essential oils of relaxing mandarin, calming and anti-inflammatory chamomile and dill and soothing frankincense.
Baby’s skin is much more delicate and sensitive than an adult so it is not recommended that you use products containing essential oils or any fragrance until they are 3 months old.
Yes, not only is it dermatologically tested and paediatrician approved it is also suitable for sensitive and eczema prone skin
Skin-to-skin contact is when your skin and your baby’s skin are in direct contact. Skin-to-skin contact benefits both you and your baby, not just following the birth, but for weeks and months afterwards by:
• Promoting bonding and communication between you and your baby • Regulating your baby’s temperature. Think of it like a thermostat – neither too hot nor too cold. • Baby picks up your healthy skin flora to populate their own skin with good bacteria, which then helps to develop their gut microbiome • Helps to calm and settle baby
Any product which contains water must contain ingredients which make them safe and stable over time and in different temperature and light conditions. If these aren’t included bacteria could form. These are called preservatives. Only preservatives that undergo rigours testing are considered safe for use in cosmetic products and currently none of these are natural. We have used the gentlest preservatives which are Ecocert approved.
