Contains 400ug of folic acid in the form of folate (as Calcium L-Methylfolate) from nutrient enhanced buckwheat as recommended by the UK Department for Health for all women trying to conceive and throughout pregnancy. Natural folate is more bioavailable and therefore can be easier for the body to absorb than synthetic folic acid.

Contains 10ug of Vitamin D as recommended by the UK Department for Health for all pregnant women.

Also includes Iron, Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, C, Iodine, Zinc and Calcium for overall nutritional support from when you start trying for your baby and throughout your pregnancy.

If you did not take a supplement before you conceived, you should start as soon as you find out you are pregnant. The right supplement can increase your chances of becoming pregnant, support your nutritional needs and your immune system during pregnancy and help you to grow a healthier baby. Taking a supplement will also make you less likely to succumb to illness and can also help with fatigue.

men

When trying to conceive, most emphasis is put on women's health, but the health of the male partner is just as important. Start taking expert conception MEN up to 3 months before you begin trying to conceive to help with healthy sperm production, give your body a boost of your daily nutritional requirements and get you into the best possible nutritional condition to conceive.

Includes the recommended daily level of zinc, a mineral which has a vital function for libido, testicular health, sperm production, sperm health, seminal fluid and erectile health and which isn’t stored in sufficient amounts in the body, so must be obtained daily through diet. Men whose diet includes very little or no meat are particularly at risk of zinc deficiency.

Selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis (production of sperm). Studies have shown that in combination with vitamin E it can significantly improve male fertility. Both selenium and vitamin E are included at the recommended daily levels.

FAQs
Why does the Department of Health recommend supplementing Folate and Vitamin D?
The UK Department of Health recommend supplementing folic acid to reduce risks of problems in the baby’s development in the early weeks of pregnancy. Folic acid can prevent birth defects known as neural tube defects including spina bifida. Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, which are needed to keep bones, teeth, and muscles healthy. The Department of Health recommend that all people consider taking 10 micrograms of Vitamin D between September and March when we are not exposed to summer sunlight which makes vitamin D. Vitamin D is only found in a small number of foods, so it is difficult to get enough from your diet.
What is the difference between synthetic Folic acid and Folate?
Folate is the natural form of vitamin B9, while folic acid is a synthetic form. Natural folate is more bioavailable than synthetic Folic Acid. This is especially important for the estimated 20%-60% of the population who have a variation in one of their MTHFR genes that negatively impacts their ability to convert folic acid (the synthetic version of B9), into the active form of folate. The folic acid in Pre-Conception + Pregnancy Women is natural folate as Calcium L-Methylfolate, from nutrient enhanced buckwheat.
Can Pre-Conception & Pregnancy Women be used alongside medication?
As a general rule, Pre-Conception & Pregnancy Women can be taken alongside medications because it contains only moderate levels of vitamins and minerals. However, if you are already taking prescribed supplements or medications, seek advice from your doctor, midwife, or health professional first.
Can pre-conception men be used alongside medication?
As a general rule, Pre-Conception Men can be taken alongside medications because it contains only moderate levels of vitamins and minerals. However, if you are already taking prescribed supplements or medications, seek advice from your doctor, midwife or health professional first
